Wendover. So this was obviously a different place entirely from where we had come.
I look around. We're near an old, worn down road, but the left is some forest area.

"No time to gawk, let's head into the city," I said, motioning forward. The city itself wasn't all too stunning. Sure, it was large, but they didn't put much effort into making it look nice.

I look around. This city could've been abandoned, with the condition it was in. It was big, and impressive, but not well kept. Obviously populated, though, but there weren't any people this far at the edge of town.

I sigh and walk to the tree line. Peering in, flashes of the past hit me, causing me to shut my eyes with a sigh.

I looked on to see a few cars flashing by every now and again. It didn't seem like many people were on the streets. The buildings were bustling with life, however. "Maybe we can find something out if we go inside somewhere," I said. "Morigan, you'd have to talk. I can't just tell people you're mute, can I? Plus you know how to communicate better than I do," I glanced at Cactus. "We can't have her talking to anybody either,"

I stare at the road ahead of us defiantly. I won't talk unless we absolutely have to. Sure, Drake didn't understand why, and never would, but I just couldn't do it. First things first though, we do need food, even if Drake doesn't. I look around for a small shop that might not have too many people in it.
I walk into the woods and lean against a tree, closing my eyes for a second before hearing the shrill tone in my head. A few small animals are in a clearing nearby, so I catch one.

I gave Dylan a surprised look before also catching one. I looked at the small rabbit I had caught, a small trace of pity in my face that I could feel.

"Alright," I said, crossing the streets. I pushed open the door to the small building Cactus had pointed to, which turned out to be some kind of a cafe. I looked around, taking in the sights. It wasn't too crowded. Looked like a good place to start.

I followed after Morigan, deciding to let her do whatever it was she wanted to do. I'd probably royally screw things up if I tried anything. "I'll let you do your thing, ask around for...something. Do whatever you need to. Oh, and it'll require talking,"

I cross my arms and stare at Drake defiantly. For all he knew, maybe I couldn't talk or no longer could. (Heck, for all I knew maybe I no longer could.) Nothing he could do could get me to say anything.
