They're going to get themselves killed, I think, shaking my head. At least, Cactus is, and if Drake is stupid enough to follow her, then both of them.

I glanced back at Ellie, flashed a reassuring smile, then went off with Cactus towards the eastern part of the city. I couldn't help but notice Morigan's disapproving glance. O ye of little faith. I won't get me or Cactus killed. I bet we'd do better than them.

I nod to Cactus trailing behind me. "I'll let you do the talking, if you don't mind. That is, if we have to talk to anyone," I say, stepping through some wild grass. I spot a small road in the distance. "We can follow that road to the city," I said, brushing some prickers off my jeans. Unfortunately, all that did was scrape some rust onto them.

I smile as we kept walking, I wondered if they had the myths in the city like we did. "I wonder what the city will be like"

"Dunno," I responded. "Everyone seems convinced it's an all human city, though I'm not too sure," I say, turning one we get to the worn out road and walking down it.

I trail behind Dylan and Ellie, glancing back at Cactus and Drake. I just have a feeling those two together will somehow end up in disaster.
I grin at her. "No problem." I look over my shoulder. "Morigan, you coming?"
I turn to look at Dylan. I point back over my shoulder at the slow moving Cactus and Dylan, then motioned back to the two of them. You two go on ahead, I'll check on them. He seems to get what I'm getting at, so I run off to catch up to them.

I glance back to see Morigan racing to catch up with is. Oh, great, I think to myself. Did she think we were going to go get ourselves blown up? What are the odds of that happening? Plus, she never talked, which kind of freaked me out a bit. It was like she was a mute. Nonetheless, I stopped and waited for her to catch up. "Decided to join us?" I said.

I nod, jerking my head towards Cactus who is lagging behind. Frankly, I don't trust Cactus at all, and having her be in a group of two just seemed like an awful idea.

I sigh and shrug, before turning around again and making my way down the old road. "You know, you don't always have to act like a mute sometimes. It could be helpful, especially in situations where someone can't see you. What if you're in trouble? What if you have to shout? Would you stay mute then?" I asked.

I shrug. Probably. What situation would ever call for that? Any situation that would require outside assistance, I wouldn't be stupid enough to get myself into. Besides, not like anyone knew, but it hurt to talk. Underuse, I suppose, though at this point I think there might be something honestly wrong with my throat. It gets harder each time.

I glance back at Morigan, deciding to leave the matter alone. We'd arrived at the edge of the city. "Well, looks like we're here," I said, looking around. "See any road signs that might be helpful?"

I point at the sign in the distance, hoping he knew he wasn't going to get me to talk any time soon. It was a whiles off and probably unhelpful, but still, it was something.
