The HUGE sledding hill

The giant, sledding hill that is popular around the whole city. If you haven't heard of it, YOU ARE DEPRIVED! This is the biggest, best sledding hill ever.

"Wow.. it's tall..." I say awkwardly. "Are you sure this is safe? I mean, what if the snow is powdery?"

"Dylan, you're such a wimp." I slug him in the arm.

"That's going to leave a bruise that will last forever," I say seriously.

I nudge him. "Come on, lighten up. We're both off pretty bad, but," I say holding up my huge inner tube of a sled. "This will cushion the shock if you happen to go off of a jump!" I say and smiled.

"Yeah... I guess so." I say. "Who wants to go first?"

I turn and grin at Kayla. "What a wimp."

I nod. "I WILL!" I say. I hadn't done this in a while. I toss down the inner tube and smile widely at them, then hop on it and start sliding down the hill. "EEEE!" I screamed a little as I picked up speed.

I jump back a little in shock but shake it off. "Hey, Dylan, is something up with Kayla's teeth? I thought I....." I shake it off again. "Never mind."

I glance at Kayla, but she's busy sledding or whatever. "Uh..... you can go next, Amaril!" I say, changing the subject quickly, not wanting Kayla's secret to be exposed.

I hit a huge bump and the inner tube slides out from under me. I fall off and face plant straight in the snow, then start laughing despite the fact that it really hurt. I got a little cut but of course, it healed instantaneously. I trudged back up the hill, wiping the snow from my eyes. "That. Was. EPIC!" I shout.

"MY TURN!!!" I grab the innertube, throw it in the air, then jump in it. I go whizzing down the hill, hit a stick I didn't know was there, fly 10 feet in the air, and grind into the snow.

I laugh hysterically and smile wildly at Dylan. "She sure can stick a landing," I joke.

I nod thoughtfully. "She looked kinda freaked out before I started going down the hill. Do you know why?" I ask. For some reason, I couldn't think of the answer that probably would be so obvious to me if I hadn't been practically 'drunken' off of the snow.

"It's okay, but you missed Amaril's brilliant landing," I smiled again and pointed down towards Amaril, who was covered in snow. The snow still fell as thickly as ever and struck the ground in large flakes.

"Well lets see how I do!" I get an inner tube and get on the hill. I take a deep breath and go down the hill, while using my hands, to gain speed, which wasnt working out well, I go off a big jump and go like 5 feet in the air. My inner tube flips over and I fall off and land in the snow.

I stand up and shake the layers of snow off of me. "Now who can't make a landing?" I scoff, then run clumsily back up the hill and hand the tube to Dylan. "Try it." I say, out of breath.

"It seems pretty dangerous..." I say slowly.

I get up, and climb up the hill to do it again, "Wow sledding is fun!" I say, "I'v never done this before!"

I glance down the hill meaningfully, then grab the innertube. "Okay... I guess." I get in it cautiously and just wait on the top of the hill, debating if I really was going to do this.

"You know," I think i'll just... sit here. I'm not up for... uh, sledding today. I'll just sit and enjoy the snow." I make up excuses.

I give Cactus a meaningful look and twitch my head in Dylan's direction.

I give a quick evil stare Dylans way, I walk over and push the inner tube so it willl go down.

I scream in a very high pitched voice as my inner tube races down the snowy hill. I tilt my weight entirely to the left to avoid the jump and skid to a landing, my hat over my eyes and spinning in circles.
