Ic: "What'cha lookin' at?" I asked Ellie, who seemed to be fascinated with something behind us. "Oh, yeah, that's Dylan," I told her.

"I agree," Claudia said, turning to Amaril. "That was an unusually mean comment...for you," I glanced at Cactus and moaned, noticing she was being extra careless with her nunchucks today.

"No, really, it was an accident. I wasn't trying to plow him down, honest," Drake shrugged, one shoulder rising higher than the other, as they always have.

"Are you implying that I'm mean?" I ask, frowning.
"No one's implying anything," I say under my breath. "Hi, I'm Dylan," I say, turning to that one guy who ran into me. "And this is Amaril, though it's best you DON'T get to know her."
I look to the door as Cactus walks in and groan loudly and discernibly, directing it specifically in her direction.

I see Aramil and start to stand before both Aniqua and Cera pull me back down, "Don't think about it. Ellie told us." Aniqua said, keeping be down. My chair squeaked before I gave up and started to glare at the girl.

"Kinda, yeah," I say after hearing Amaril groaning at Cactus.

I walk over and stand next to Ellie. "Hey, Amaril," I say in a quiet voice. Maybe everyone else was just loud.

"Drake," I said, wondering what I should do next. Should I shake his hand? That's usually how people greet each other...I think I outstretched my hand anyways. "Don't cut yourself,"

I frown, confused at his statement but gingerly shake his hand anyways.
I burst through the door in a flurry of feathers, flustered from the wind that picked up outside. As I expected, everyone is here, including some weird new kid that wasn't part of our usual crowd.
"Hi Kayla," I say. "Hi Dylan," I walk over to him. "Hi New Kid," I wave at him. "Hi, Noella."
"Go away," I say, not looking at Amaril.

Great, I did something right! I may not seem like a weirdo to these guys after all, I thought optimistically to myself, sticking my hand back in my hoodie pocket. "Hey," I responded to the girl.

"Is everyone in a bad mood today?" I asked to no one in particular. I couldn't really argue. So was I.

"We should go somewhere fantastic. Like... like the amusement park. Carnival type thing." I suggest, looking around. "Like that one time we went sledding? That helped our moods. Since we're all moody people all the time. We could just go down there for the day." I suggest. The carnival's just opened up for the summer. I didn't even know we had one until I passed it. It's HUGE. MASSIVE.
"This place has a carnival?" I ask Dylan, landing on the ground. "Who knew?"
"It's not like I hang out in the city much," I say, glancing down at myself.
"There's weirder people around," I say, patting Dylan on the shoulder. "Like Cactus."

I shrugged hoping I got the message through. My friends were pretty weird.

"We're not all moody people all the time," I said, mostly trying to defend myself. I probably just made myself sound moodier.

I stood by and watched everyone. They seemed to not take any notice of me, but that's usually how things went. I didn't delve into conversations.

I nodded quickly, "Yeah, everything's alright." I said, "It's nice to meet you, Drake." I could feel my cheeks going even more crimson because I was starting at him and then not, which caused me to be really embarrassed. After a few deep breaths, my blush faded.
