I flew low to the ground, soaking up the heat from the sun. I liked the desert. It was one of my favorite places to be.

I zip over the sandy ground, what little plants there were were blurring past me. I really hoped to at least make it to my house before this dragon obliterated me.

I decided that I was going exploring. For real. Not just around town, but to strange countries, maybe even other PLANETS. This was what I wanted. And with Kiwi, nothing was stopping me. I ran home, got all the supplies I would ever need, and left, once and for all.

I took a look around and wondered if there would be any buried treasure here...

I fly over. The Shapeshifter and moody human are there. They aren't too bad, so I land. One's trying to dig and the other's trying to put sand back in the hole. And they still are friends. How weird.

I sprinkle some sand all over Amaril's head. I fill all the sand back in the hole and run far away to some other random spot and start digging, hoping nobody would fill in the hole.

I start digging my own hole, and in a few minutes, it's big enough to fit 5 humans inside. There's nothing down there but a glint of gold. I stare at it.

I dig, only to make the hold wider, and jump in. An explosion of sand comes up.

The THUD of the immense dragon hitting the bottom of the hole sends me a few inches off the ground, and I got lucky that I wasn't squished. I cough a bit at the stirred up sand, then watch Amaril tug and strain and grunt as she clinged onto the gold.
